MODERN SLAVERY STATEMENT
MODERN SLAVERY AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING STATEMENT
For the financial year ending 2025
INTRODUCTION
IM PRODUCTION SAS ("Isabel Marant", and together with its subsidiaries the "Group") is committed to conducting its business with integrity and in full respect of internationally recognized human rights.
We acknowledge the responsibility to identify, assess, and mitigate the risks of modern slavery and forced labour within our operations and global supply chains. For the purposes of this statement, forced labour (“Forced Labour”) includes slavery, servitude, human trafficking, child labour, and any other form of forced or compulsory labour.
This statement outlines the measures implemented by the Group to prevent, detect, and address such risks.
This statement is prepared for purposes of:
- The UK Modern Slavery Act of 2015;
- The California Transparency in Supply Chains Act of 2010 (SB-657);
- The Canadian Fighting Against Force Labour and Child Labour in Supply Chains Act of 2023.
ORGANISATION, BUSINESS AND SUPPLY CHAIN
IM PRODUCTION SAS is a French company, parent company of several entities, operating across multiple jurisdictions.
The Group designs luxury ready-to-wear collections and accessories in Paris at the Isabel Marant headquarters. The Group distributes its products globally through directly operated retail stores and e-commerce platforms, as well as a network of distributors, wholesalers, and third-party retailers offline and online.
The Group relies on a diversified supply chain comprising several hundred of carefully selected suppliers and manufacturers from over 15 countries, located across Europe, Asia, and North Africa.
GOVERNANCE AND POLICIES
At Isabel Marant we believe we have a responsibility to conduct our business in an ethical and responsible way. This includes working to address critical human rights and social risks within the retail industry, such as Forced Labour, ethical sourcing, and sustainability. We foster integrity, equality, and ethical conduct in all our business dealings, and expect the same from all our suppliers and manufacturers.
The Group has implemented a comprehensive compliance framework to uphold ethical business practices and mitigate risks related to Forced Labour.
This framework includes notably (i) Isabel Marant’s Ethical Charter, (ii) a Supplier Code of Conduct, and (iii) an Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy :
(i) Ethical Charter: it requires our suppliers and manufacturers to comply with all local and applicable laws, particularly those related to Forced Labour, wage and hour requirements, health and safety, environmental laws, and all other labour laws (a copy of the Isabel Marant Ethical Charter can be found here).
(ii) Supplier Code of Conduct: in addition to the Ethical Charter, we have a Supplier Code of Conduct, for our suppliers and manufacturers defining our minimum standards of ethical and responsible practices specific to suppliers and manufacturers. More specifically, it strictly prohibits child labor, forced labour and human trafficking;
(iii) Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy: it establishes the Group's reference framework for preventing and fighting bribery through behavioural standards that provide a guide for identifying and mitigating risks. It applies to all Isabel Marant and the Group employees, whatever the country of location, as well as to any company and any person acting on behalf of the Group.
These policies incorporate major international standards, including the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Labour Organizations core Conventions, the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, and the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises.
All suppliers are required to formally acknowledge and comply with these standards as a condition of doing business with the Group.
RISK ASSESSMENT AND DUE DILIGENCE
The Group applies a risk-based approach to identify and mitigate potential exposure to Forced Labour risks in our supply chain.
This includes (i) supplier onboarding and verification, (ii) supply chain audits based on the ICS methodology and ongoing monitoring through site visits, and (iii) traceability tools relying on third-party platforms.
(i) Onboarding and verification: Suppliers are required to confirm their compliance with our Supplier Code of Conduct. Further we maintain long-standing business relationships with some of our biggest suppliers and manufacturers, who have been vetted through an internal screening process. Throughout the business relationship we continue to conduct on-site visits, which allows us to identify red flags.
(ii) Audits: We conduct semi-announced audits of our supply chain through third party auditing companies using the ICS audit grid, with the aim to enhance working conditions along global supply chains. We have been a member of ICS since 2021, in an effort to improve our due diligence and effectiveness in ensuring that our business and supply chains are not employing Forced Labour. Our suppliers and manufacturers are required to remedy any found violations, and to cooperate in any remedial efforts to ensure future compliance.
(iii) Traceability: Our suppliers must know the origin of materials used in our supply chain and ensure that they are produced in accordance with human rights and environmental safety standards. We also trace all our products using a third-party provider traceability platform, which would warn us if any Forced Labour issues have ever been encountered in factories within our value chains, based on reports from NGOs.
REPORTING AND REMEDIATION
A confidential grievance mechanism is available via the Group ethics platform (on https://ethics.IsabelMarant.com) to employees, suppliers and stakeholders. It allows anyone (workers, suppliers, people working on our value chains, etc.) to report any concern relating to a potential violation of our Ethical Charter, Supplier Code of Conduct and Anticorruption policy.
Where non-compliance is identified, corrective action plans are implemented with compliance deadlines and may lead to follow-up audits. Critical non-compliance or lack of improvement may result in the termination of business relationships.
As of the date of this statement, no instances of Forced Labour have been identified within the Group’s operations or supply chain.
Isabel Marant recognizes that any remediation measures may potentially have the unintended consequence of inflicting loss of income on vulnerable persons. As no instances of Forced Labour have been discovered in our business or supply chains, no remediation measures have been taken that would have led to loss of income to the most vulnerable families.
TRAINING AND AWARENESS
The Group develops training initiatives to raise awareness, strengthen internal capabilities, and engage suppliers on compliance with human rights standards.
All relevant policies and updates are available to our employees and partners.
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
The Group remains committed to continuously enhancing its due diligence processes and transparency across its value chain.
The Group conducts periodic reviews of its internal and external codes of conduct and policies. The Group assesses any new issues that may arise in order to determine the most appropriate response and, where necessary, incorporates the required updates into its compliance framework.
APPROVAL
This statement has been approved by the Board of Directors of IM PRODUCTION SAS.
